Seidy Corrales

Meet Seidy Corrales, an ELAP Coordinator in Costa Rica!

Seidy Corrales is a native of San Jose, or "josefina". For her bachelor's degree she attended the University of the Americas where she completed studies in English language. During her time at the University, she was a Teaching Assistant for the English department and helped with the language acquisition programs. After graduation, Seidy's interests in language and travel took her to Maryland where she worked for a year gaining international job experience and refining her language skills. Since her return to Costa Rica she has been fortunate enough to work both in the fields of tourism and language training. She has worked with several hotels on the Pacific Coast of the country in the popular tourist region of Guanacaste. She also worked at the North American-Costa Rican Cultural Center in San Jose where she provided support for the English programs and assisted with general program coordination. Seidy enjoys meeting people and teaching others about her country.

What do you like best about working with ELAP?
That it serves to help. Not only does it help students to learn but also the communities. The key word with ELAP is help!
