It is nestled in the highlands of central México about 7000 feet above sea level in the state of Guanajuato. Guanajuato is located in the Central Standard Time Zone.Although the weather is usually very comfortable, you should be prepared for just about everything except snow. In the summer, the weather is usually very warm during the day (around 85°F), but cools off at night, sometimes unexpectedly. Rain can be expected for at least part of the day and at least once a week through late June to September. Although it hardly ever snows, winters in Guanajuato can be rather chilly, dropping down into the 40's and sometimes lower! At the beach, the weather is hot and muggy (mid to upper 90s) and in the highlands of Michoacán it can get quite chilly at night (low 50s).
